Brian has recently retired after more than 44 years working as an analyst / lab manager for soil, plant and environmental labs. He started in 1965 as a technical trainee in the Analysis Section of New Zealands DSIR Soil Bureau at the age of 16. His written output includes more than 100 papers, conference contributions and reports. |

ASPAC offer an annual Study Travel award of up to $1500 to attend conferences or meetings that aim to advance the understanding and application of soil and plant analysis to benefit plant nutrition, sustainability or the environment. Each year ASPAC dedicates the Study Travel Award to a long-standing contributor of the organisation. For 2010, ASPAC has the pleasure of naming the award after our long-serving member Brian Daly.Applications for the Brian Daly Study Travel Award should be made on the template which is attached or can be downloaded from the ASPAC website and submitted electronically to the ASPAC Chairperson Dr Chris Dowling at: CDowling@backpaddock.com.au (mailto:CDowling@backpaddock.com.au) by 1 October 2010. The successful applicant will be notified by 29 October 2010. |
